cobra intake,bbk 70mm tb, CAI

ok i cant help but ask, i know its a noob question

on a 91GT AOD with 148 000 miles, with BBk shorties, BBK h pipe, and a flowmaster catback with dumps

would those mods above realy wake up the car? cobra intake, BBk 70mm tb and CAI?

forgot to mention it has 3.73 rear gears

raced my buddy in a 2000 silverado 327 with true duals and lost by like 3 feet, almost wanted to return the car


well with those extra mods above, and a removed spare tire and jack would i be able to take him afterwards?

The gear will definately make the biggest difference, especially on that AOD. The other mods will help out on the top end. You definately shouldn't have any trouble making up the 3 feet.

A shift kit might be in order as well. I havn't put one on my aod yet (3.73 and Transgo sitting in my garage) but anything is better than the factory setup.

gears are arready in there, actually i dont know if i want to waste money on shift kit cuz im waiting for the AOD to break down, so i can convert to manual

btw how much are shift kits?

Those added modes will wake the car up top end. The stock intakes have straws for runners and choke up top.

well doesnt the auto screw me over and shift to early ? for me to take advantage. like id want to shft it at 5600-5700

also what are predicted quarter times? hopefully somewhere in the 14's

Sorry, misread the gear part. Those mods should definately put you past him up top. Yes, the auto is/will be robbing you. lol

I can't give a good estimate on ets. High 14's I guess.
