I'm lookin to put on the cobra intake and some afr 165's and want to keep that stock brace if at all possible. Will a 94/95 Cobra intake clear the stock strut tower brace in my '95 GTS?

No the GTS/GT stock STB will not fit with any intake other than stock. The Cobra/Explorer/GT40 intakes, and all aftermarket intakes, are taller than the stock intake. Maybe a box type upper on a stock lower would work if there is such a thing. But, I doubt it. Where the STB bar goes over the top of the stock intake is the problem. That's why, when you look at aftermarket STBs, you see the bar go around the front of the upper intake.

Yep, same here. Didn't notice much difference without the STB. Cobras and V6s didn't come with them if that tells you anything. Just the GTs I believe.

Actually, I believe the 94-95 Cobras did come with a STB. It's clearanced in the front for the Cobra intake. I personally felt a small difference with and without the STB. However, I will say that my STB probably saved my frame when I got hit back in June. I got hit right by the driver's front tire and slammed into the curb. No way to know for sure if the STB helped, but all I got was cosmetic damage; no frame damage at all.

In the end, buy a STB if you want, use one if you want. It's your car.

No they didn't. But Ford did offer an aftermarket one made for the cobra. I have seen them for sale a few times used.
