Cobra Intake questions?

Yes you need 2 gaskets, and they are just like the Cobra or GT40 gaskets (all 3 manifolds - Cobra/Explorer/GT40 share the same lower). Mark all your vacuum lines before disconnecting. You'd be wise to use new vacuum hose when you go back together. Be sure you have the proper torquing pattern for the lower (no need to go past 18 ft-lbs. or so and use the manual sequence for tightening) and only 10 ft-lbs on the upper to lower.

I would skip the gastets cause they don't line up at all. On my spacer I just used high temp orange rtv. I did the lower intake first and just spread it evenly and thin then i took some short bolts and finger tightend them to hold the spacer down till it was dry. Then I did a thin layer up top and bolted on the upper intake and let it dry.

My gaskets lined up just fine. However - tip of the day (well 2 tips). 1) Use a bit of rtv only between the lower gasket and the spacer. Just use the upper gasket dry or with gasket dressing. That way when you have to pull the upper, the spacer and lower gasket will stay on the lower intake. 2) Go to hardware store and buy 4 bolts like the lower intake bolts, and 2 bolts like the upper bolts. Cut the heads off. When installing the lower, screw them into the 4 corners - they'll hold your gaskets in place and allow you to set the lower without the gaskets sliding around. Once you've started a couple of bolts, then unscrew them, and put all your regular bolts in. Use the same trick on the front and rear (short bolts) of the upper intake.
