Hey guys, just more questions for ya. Right now the intake on my car is warped, and has two mild leaks where it sit on the engine. I have been told It will hold but eventually will need replacing. So ofcourse I am thinking of replacing it with the Bullit intake. So I went to modularperformance.com (I think thats right) and looked it up. Im thinking maybe get the stage 1 ported out a little. I also clicked on the link from DeadLurker (sp) and looked at the Cobra Killer kit. Now I haven't noticed anyone needing forged internals or intake for the kit but I would love to thinking about a kit like that this summer assuming I can save up the money. I was just wondering if you people with this kit have anything going on in car reinforcement to handle this kit? I also know that with 4.10s Im going to have some problems, so should i go back to a stock gear or get 3.73s? Are you people with a blower making that 5th gear shift on the track or not because it seems people will do anything to avoid running out of 4th gear. Also will going blown increase or greatly decrease gas mileage? I know getting rid of the 4.10s would help give me back some gas mileage but i was just wondering about people with stock gears and blowers. How hard it the bullitt intake swap, what other parts will i need apart from the intake etc?

Thanks, sorry for all the questions, but after going racing with a bunch of Z28, SSs, and WS6s I just gotta ge serious

Thanks!

I can't help you on the Bullitt Intake swap. I've got a printout of all the things needed to do the swap but I plan to slap that intake on when I build a motor. Anyways, as for the Cobra Killer kit. I've had mine on for about 1,500 miles now and love it. The car drives better than stock. Tim is the man when it comes to tuning and the adaptive tune is the best thing going.

I've got 4.10's and a blower, its been too cold to go to the track but I would like to see how the car performs at the track before I make my decision to step back down to 3.73's. Gas mileage is right about the same WHEN you stay out of boost.

I love the fact that I know lots of people on stangnet with the kit and Tim too. Not to mention they are in Atlanta, and I have heard great things about them. Assuming you get on it, how bad was the traction?

My cars bone stock other than the kit and it puts down decent numbers. Just be prepared to get better tires if you want any kind of traction. Very fun to drive. Put 10,000+ miles on it since I got the blower put on last April. I drove Deadlurkers car after he reinforced his rear and got 3:73's and liked it. Definately gave it a much more aggressive feel than my 3.27 stock setup.

Yeah the 3.73s REALLY woke up the car. I can't believe I was debating them. Now that I have the 3.73s I can't imagine driving the car with the 3.27s again.
