I haven't read too much into it, but from what I gather the Cobra Killer Kit comes with everything needed for the install along with a very safe tune, am I right? Do they send a chip for the tune or is it a reflash?

Yes it is a very safe tune. From what I have read Tim has not lost an engine yet. Yes you will get all of the parts you need for the install plus Tim will reflash you ECU with one of his tunes.

My thing is that a year ago my auto tanny s*** itself and I threw in a 5 speed. Before that I installed grears with a Diablo Chip for the speedo, timing, etc. I haven't gotten the chip reburned since the tranny switch so my speedo is all jacked up. I went on ahead and disconnected the sensor so it reads zero. Diablo says for the to send them the chip and tell them how fast I'm actually going when my speedo reads 60 and they'll correct it for me. How will this work with the reflash....or will it?

He can fix that in the reflash.

So that means bye, bye Diablo Chip?

With this kit it's a plug and play right? That'll be cool to just drive out of my garage and not have to worry about putting it up on the dyno.

Yeah no need for the chip. Anything you can do with your chip he will do in the reflash and more. If you need to hear directly from the horses mouth you can get ahold of Tim at www.modularmustangs.net. Hope this helps you out and good luck! Keep us up to date with your install.

It is a plug and play kit , but you are still going to want to put it on the dyno so you can check the A/F. They are usually right on the money.

Good trash. Thanks for the info. It's going to be a few months until I get back to the states, but I will be posting the results.

Glad to see that someone has the same performance mods as I do with dyno numbers on this kit. Now I have a rough idea of what I should be making when I install Tim's kit.
