Guys need help identifying a connection on the lower manifold. It is the only one I can't figure out. It was capped previous when the motor was running.

EDIT: Used the magical interwebs and found out it was egr coolant line. Am I correct in assuming that it goes to the capped connection on the intake water pipe?

assuming im looking at it right, that side would go to the back side of the egr spacer, there should be another one in the heater hardline iirc that goes to the front of the egr spacer.

....which would explain why it was capped. The previous owner deleted the spacer, so therefore no longer needs the coolant port.

You can take that fitting out and put a plug in there if you would like I believe it's a 3/8" npt pipe plug don't quote me on it but I think that's what mine was when I plugged my systemax intake

I didn't think cobra manifold needed spacer because egr valve and throttle cable bracket attachment were already built into the intake. Guess I will just cap it if it was already that way.

If it's truely a cobra upper, then you don't need it. Get a 3/8" NPT plug, take that thing out and plug it up.

You'll need to cap the nipple that comes off the coolant tube

True enough, but that same lower was also used on the Explorer and GT40 intakes.....which do use spacers. In the Cobra's case, they're just fitted with a brass plug.
