I have plans to swap my 99 3.8 V6 motor for a 2001 cobra motor as soon as the car is paid off. I am going to have a local ford dealer do the work since the are a dealer and installer of the ford racing parts. I understand pretty much everything that will be involved with the install like the 8.8 rear end, computer and wiring, fuel upgrades and all that stuff but what i would like to know is what i can do now. What performance non power adder stuff can i purchase and put on it now,and do i purchase cobra or v6 stuff? for example i want to put some suspension upgrades on it do i buy v6 suspension components or cobra suspension components. I also plan to put on some 17" chrome bullits and the 13" cobra brakes. If you can help me out in any way i would appreciate it very much. Or if you know of anything i can do to it that isnt a power adder let me know.
