Cobra pedals in 89 foxbody Help

So I have a set of Cobra pedals and a spare fox pedals I have searched for a good set of pictures to layout where to cut them to be able to utilize the steering shaft support. Does anybody have either good pictures or possibly a template they made when they did this upgrade. I’m not a metal man nor a welder and would be having a shop do the welding so anything would help. All pictures I see are blurry or when I zoom in they pixelate

Are the Cobra pedals different? Can anyone expand on this for me..

Believe the OP is outing hydrant in a Fox car. This changes the position of the brake rod so I’m guessing he is wanting to use a set of pedals out of a 96 and up Cobra to keep the geometry right. Purely guessing here.

The clutch/brake pedals are larger and spaced farther apart The brake pedal doesn't have to be modified to connect to the hydroboost
Try fitting a size 14 sneaker on both pedals at once and I definitely can not fit them if I’m wearing boots.

I did the MM hydroboost conversion kit on my car. Was a time vs money thing and all those modifications necessary are what I wanted to avoid.

I totally agree but after looking over the MM conversion kit and since the pedal box has to be removed and you already have to modify the firewall I figured what the heck just add more work to the list. I have the parts so I can have it all set to just pull the fox and swap in the cobra cut and drill and I’m good. I also think I’ve figured out how to template the cobra and transfer it to the fox for cutting purposes Stay tuned

No modification to the firewall. With the adapter installed on the hydroboost, it’s a purely bolt-in affair.

You just need to add the brake pedal to the pedal box. What I like is it retained all the proper supporting equipment like clutch pedal switch, cruise control clutch cancel, and cruise brake dump valve. The 96+ pedal box is different here

Yeah, there isn't much to modify on the firewall. The 96 to 98 kit requires no modification at all (that's what I used) and the newer kit just has you bend the edge of the firewall hole.

I had considered the idea of swapping pedals, but with my car done long ago and a 4v installed it was already a massive pain that I didn't particularly want to make worse.

And just to be clear, the removing of the pedal arm and swapping it out was probably the easiest part of the swap.

Ah you are right. It was so insignificant, I forgot i even did that.

I probably wouldn't even had known about it, but it would appear the two units share the same manual. I'd barely call it a modification to the firewall, was it even necessary?

I vaguely remember it, but now that i see the manual i remember bending the top of the firewall in a tiny bit. It took me maybe 5 mins. Just needed a little extra clearance for the booster.

But after that it dropped right in.
