cobra r brakes VS. cobra 10th anniv.

Why should i pick cobra r brakes over cobra 10th anniversary brakes. besides the brembo name on the r's? Are the cobra r's 4 pistons or something? anyone running the r's? and have pics? thanks for any help.

Cobra Rs are 13 inch brembos, you need 18 inch wheels to clear them, Cobras are 13 inch PBRs, 2 calipers, 17inch wheels.

96-04 cobra brakes are the same. They use a 13" Brembo rotor, and are 2 piston. The caliper is a bit smaller than the stock GT ones, but the 13" rotor allows the for stronger stops and less fade.

The cobra brakes have enough leverage to lock up the brakes at most speeds, so stopping distance probably won't be all that significant between the 2, but the 4 Piston R's will have less fade, and they look 10x cooler.

I have the regular cobra's and I'm pretty happy with them.. I haven't had any bad cases of fade while corner carving through local canyons.

can anyone post a pic of a 99+ stang with cobra r brakes? are they worth the 1g?

heres a 98 running cobra R's and yes they are worth it.
also you dont need 18", you just need a 17" that clears them.
