I got a weird request. But could someone with a Cobra R hood take a pic from the drivers seat? In VA we have a hood height law, I need to see if a 2.5" would pass. Thanks guys.

Wipe it with wax/greas remover, scuff it and shoot it!

I prepped my hood at work, I sanded the top side with 400 grit on a DA, the bottem side I just scuffed with a red scotch pad until the underside wasn't shiny anymore. Cleaned it off with wax/grease remover, sealed it and painted it. Very easy. I got some better pictures coming soon if you want to see them.

You should also wipe it down with the wax/grease remover before sanding. You can actually grind silicon and other stuff into the gelcoat when scuffing it, making it much harder for the w/g remover to get it out after sanding.

No, not yet. Goin' Saturday to have it tuned and dyno'ed. Supposedly it's runnin' lean. So I'm goin' somewhere else for a second opinion. I'll let you know how it turns out.
