I have just installed the lower part of the intake and letting it sit over night, i am hoping that it will not leak at all so i dont have to tear everything off again. But i do have a couple of questions i need two more bolts for the middle of the intake manifold. The longest bolts i have found are six inches and it looks like i might need a another half inch for the bolts in the middle. I was wondering if i was just better off getting that one inch spacer for the intake since it comes with new bolts. And i was also wondering if any of you guys had some real good detailed pictures of where all the vac lines go. What lines i should plug and what lines i need to keep. Any good details or pics would makes things a little bit easier on me.

Thank you
Troy

vac lines...one to the vac tree, one to the pcv valve, one to the charcoal canister, one to the fuel regulator. Basically that's all that's needed, use the closest port to each item to provide vac to the components mentioned and you're golden.

If you have a stock hood, the intake won't clear with a 1" spacer

Go to a mom and pop type of hardware store and see what they have for hardware. Big chain stores don't carry them but the little shops do sometimes

Why does the PCV connect to two different spots in the intake?

Just FYI: I managed to find the right length bolts for my Cobra upper at Lowe's, but the mom and pop places are better if you can still find one that hasn't been run out of business.

i have plenty of room i have 3 inch hood. Lowes is about the only place i havnt checked. But i have checked at places where thats the only thing they carry and they dont have a flanged bolt that long, am i right that the two in the middle are longer? And in the picture it shows a hose going from the pvc to a T and goes back to the back part of the intake, is the T part really needed?

Yes, you should do the t. I had the reason explained to me a long time ago why you hooked the PCV up in two spots but the reason escapes me. I would try to replicate the pic as much as you can

well all the bolts are torqued down and the only sound i hear is from my K&N filter it only pops once and a while mainly when it gets up to 2000 or 3000 i havnt pushed the gas that hard yet. but as far as the smell could it just be the silicon i just for the back of the block?

Well the smell could be from the fresh RTV. I always get a smell when i put on a water pump or lower intake or exhaust part or something.

Get a can of carb cleaner and spray around the intake while the engine runs. If the idle increases, you have a vac leak

yea i didnt think that lowes would have those bolt either but i went over there and found some. Could the smoking be from the RTV too, it is weird cause it only comes from the back of the motor. well i guess i will go out and get some carb cleaner and try to find the leak that way. It just puzzles me that a poping noise could be from a vacum leak. the popping noise seems like it is coming from the drivers side. Could it be the spark plugs makeing the noise if they were not gapped right?
