Cobra upper/lower port & polished intake for $200!

I know a guy who has a brand new (100 miles old) 93 Cobra upper/lower intake that has been ported and polished with a upper to lower plenum spacer. He's selling it for $200 with only a lower gasket (no upper gasket). This sounds like a good deal, but is there anything I should ask him about? Will this work on my 94, or will I need that adapter? Need info fast, I might wanna get this next monday. Thanks

Yeah you need the elbow for the 94/95, but hey that is a really good deal especially if it is ported. But make sure there are no cracks or little things like that, check all the ports and the injector inlets to make sure there is nothing out of the norm because that is really cheap. Make sure that all the coolant passages and all are good, make sure that everything is straight and will seat up good against your heads. Gaskets dont really matter, you can get the whole kit for 20-30 bucks.

Ok, thanks. I'll check it out later today when I get the stang back (I picked up a nail in one of the tires ). This guy is REALLY into mustangs, so he should know his stuff. I might have to dip into my SC fund if I can pick up a full intake for that cheap. How big of a gain and where can I expect from this? 20 rwhp? 4000+ rpm? Lemme know some specs, I don't know much about the Cobra intake as I was gonna get the Edelbrock before I decided on the supercharger. Thanks again

Well I checked out the intake, everything looked fine, no cracks or anything. I trust the guy I'm getting it from too. It's everything, the upper/lower plenum, plenum spacer, and the elbow I need. The only thing it doesn't have are the gaskets. It has the lower plenum to block? gasket, but not the lower plenum to spacer or spacer to upper gasket. Quick question though, I know I'll need to take off my strut tower brace, but will this fit under my stock hood with the spacer? Or will I need to leave that off?

Dang you got a good deal.... That retails for like what 400-500 dollars, then the spacer and elbow.

I would say you could pick up some nice gain depending on the port job and the current mods you have. It sounds like it would be good with the supercharger.. but I would see what brand the spacer is then contact the company and order a set of gaskets. Or you could just buy two upper intake gasket kits

The spacer is 1" thick, I don't know what brand. Yea I'll just order two lower to upper plenum gaskets for it. lol
