It started!!!

Open headers, no body, but it roared back to life last night in the garage!

I'll put on the side-pipes, put the electric fan on the radiator, and run it for a while this weekend to see how my repairs hold. I added the rear crank sleeve, updated the hydraulic clutch, and a new radiator. Hopefully it will run as before, the racing gas is still in the tank!

I'll get pics this weekend!

36 hours and only one reply! I'm so ashamed of everybody (except for bnickel).

Just kidding! That's awesome, you must have been thrilled to hear that! Probably more so than your neihbours were!

Y'know, I was gonna keep my mouth shut until you made good on your threat to post pix. But you went and did it, so I'm gonna go and say it!
First you went into graphic detail about poor Cheapie stuck topless in public; now you actually post pictures of Cobrask8 naked! Have you no shame????

And then there's the whole "shredded Levis in a national publication" issue

OBTW: Congrats on getting "ol' Crunchsk8" back together!

What is that wire on the front end, an extension cord? And just how the heck did that extension cord reach ALL the way around the block?
I would also stay away from making movies, Ron Jeremy you're not!

Let's just say the cab of his new truck isn't as roomy as the manufacturer claims!

Is that a wire? I thought, with all the abrupt angle and the fact that it was standing up off the pavement in a couple of places; that it was something else.....

And I was going to say that Cheapie's neighbors obviously hadn't yet put guardrails around their bushes

To answer all the important questions:

Wire is the old headlight harness. It has since been re-routed, shortened, and connectors added for the lights in the body.

Ron Jeremy is my hero!

Back seat in the S.T. indeed has enough room!

Bushes are too far from the curb

Blanket in trunk!

ewwwww.... I think I can speak safely for me and Deanna... no kid should ever be privy to their dad saying that Ron Jeremy is their hero, or what the blanket was really in the trunk for...

Kinda like hearing StangDreamin talk about breaking in the Dodge or the Lariat
