I ran a koeo test and came up with a code 67. Does anyone know what this refers to on a 90 with a manual trans? Any ideas on how to eliminate it? The description refers to a manual lever position sensor being out of range, neutral drive switch circuit failure, or neutral pressure switch circuit failure.

Code 67 - clutch not depressed (5 speed) or car not in neutral or park (auto) or the A/C was on when you ran the test (it is supposed to be off). Possible neutral safety switch or wiring problem. You can generally ignore this code, since it has no effect on engine performance. The code will affect some of the engine running diagnostic tests the computer can do if requested.

very good find

If you live in US or Canada and want really cheap car insurance, go to
http://www.imapansy.com/Incurance.htm and click on the second banner from the top. They give free instant quote and it is very cheap. My insurance on my Mustang was around $500 per 6 months and their quote was $320. It takes 2 minutes to calculate quote. First banner from the top is also insurance company that gives instant quotes but their quotes are higher.

Thanks, J.R.! I have observed your previous expertise in assisting others with codes and was hoping you would post. The clutch was not depressed during the KOEO test, and I was not under the impression it was supposed to be. The a/c was also not running. You touched on my primary concern which is the affect this code will have when I run the KOER test and any of the other tests. Any suggestions? I really appreciate your help.

The code 67 affects the Key On Engine On test by changing the % drop in RPM for some of the tests. The extra load causes more RPM drop when these tests run, and can give false results. The cylinder balance test and the EGR test are two that come to mind.
