I have a Digital Voltmeter, i was reading JRichkers post somewhere, saying to use an analog voltmeter, which is the needle, but mines digital, is it still useable?? I've never done anything like this, n am worried it's not gonna work - I am an amatuer code puller

it is very difficult to read codes from a Digital Volt meter i would not recommend, its too easy to misread even for someone experienced.you can use this link and a $3 test light.

I suppose a DMM would work (never tried it) since I think the pulses are slow enough to register (it might not peg out to 12 volts on your meter, but a reading of even 6-9 volts would = a pulse.

A test light might be easier.

Good luck.
