I have a 99 GT LE. I'm thinking about coil overs. Want to lower the car by about 1 to 1.5", but was hoping to keep a nice ride feel. Any recommendations?

Maximum Motorsports coilovers and their Street spec bilstiens. 250-275 lb 12" springs, caster camber plates.

Out back, matching conventional style spring, bilsteins, MM adjustable lower arm, stock ford upper arms.

Not cheap, but it will ride nice.

So you're not recommending coil overs for the rear?

Coil overs in the rear aren't recommended by maximum motorsports until you are at 350lb rate or higher up front.

Since you said you wanted a nice ride, I wouldn't recommend going that stuff out front.

Go to MMs site and read some of their tech articles on coilovers. Good stuff.

Btw, I run 250# springs on mine with conventional rears and all the other parts I suggested. Rides very nice yet still handles

Thanks! I really appreciate the info. I put in a Roush stage 3 racing suspension several years ago, when I was racing. It was great, but I'm no longer racing and want a softer ride, but with the same ride height.
