I recently had a lovely sparkplug bowout and when replacing all the plugs with new ones i found that i have 2 stripped coil pack bolts.

I've looked all over the internet and so far the oly ones i can find are in austrailia. Should i just make a trip to the ford dealership near me or is there anyplace online i can get them? I really hate the people at the dealership around here so any trip avioding them would be great.

just go to the dealer. if you buy 2 bolts online the shipping would cost more than the parts themselves (and from australia? yeesh)

if the old bolts are stripped just buying new bolts won't entirely solve your problem

Depends if the heads are stripped or if the threads are.

I havn't seen these bolts because I've only worked on 4.6L's with the COP setup. Do these bolts have some sort of special head patern or something ? A good hardware store should carry the metric size bolt you need. Just take a good one in with you and match that bad boy up.

If yer threads are stripped, maybe you can helicoil what ever they screw into ??

I ended up matching up a bolt/washer from the nut-n-bolt drawers @ work (which you can do at a hardware store). About a year ago I tried to get 2 and I believe they were on backorder (which is why I used the stuff @ work), although now might be a different story. The price at the dealership was pretty cheap if I recall...I'd try them first.

are you looking for "coil pack" or "coil on plug" 2 totally different things.
being yours is a 2000, you'll need "coil on plug" bolts or COPs' best bet is a dealer. the part # is W706175-S437, price is @$1.25 each and they come in a pak of 4, I can get them if you need. or try a hardware store, size is 5mm x 26mm
