Trying to do a lil tune up on my mustang. It is a 1996 Mustang GT it had a 2003 GT motor in it with the PI heads. I am using the 96 ECU and wiring harness and using the old coil packs. I want to get new coil packs, spark plugs and wires. Was wondering what you guys suggest. Not looking for the best, trying to keep things affordable but I dont wanna buy junk. I will pay extra if the products are made in the US.

on the coil packs I am looking at the Accel Buy Accel Ford Super EDIS Coil Pack 140018 at Advance Auto Parts

or the MSD which do you guys think is better? and do wires make that big of a difference?

There's no performance advantage with the Accel cp's. I'd start with plugs and good quality wires first before spending any money on cp's.

Yeah chances are you don't need to replace your CP's. It's not a common item to go bad on these cars. FWIW, my car has 140K on the clock and I'm still running the stock CP's and she runs great. As Blue Stang GT said new plugs and wires are probably all you need.
