I installed a CIA on my 96 GT and she runs great but, i just read in another forum that i need to reset my computer after intalling the CAI by diconnecting the battery for 10 min. Is this true? Will i mess something up by doing the reset? I mean i've read a post where someone said they diconnected their battery and now the airbag light is flashing.

Some people try to short the electrical system to make it reset "sooner" or "more completely". This is not necessary and could cause problems with electrical systems such as the airbag. Just disconnect the battery for a few minutes. All you guage needles will "sweep" when you start it for the first time after a good reset (at least on my 2001). The "sweep" will tell you that you were sucessful in resetting the PCM.

I reset my PCM pretty often, just for the hell of it really...

Everytime I do a mod on my car I disconnect the battery before I do anything And afterwards I let it run for a little while
