I already have ford racing part cold air kit and tuning, if I replace the factory tube running from tb to filter with an aftermarket piece. Will I have to retune for this. Thanks

No. I believe the FR intake is the same as the Steeda one. Steeda makes an elbow you can put on and will add about 8HP. No retune is needed.

You'll only need a retune if you change the diameter of the mass air sensor pipe.

BTW, that 8HP is according to them. But I plan on testing it next spring.

Aren't most of the CAI's 95mm tube around the MAF anyway??

Actually most are about 90MM. Steeda/Ford Racing is 90mm. C&L street is 83mm. JLT is 89mm. C&L Racer is 95mm. Airraid is somewhere between 95mm and 100mm. I'm not sure on Demolet, but it looks to be around 90mm. Maybe 85mm.

Steeda claims that a retune is needed if you run the FRPP pro-cal tune. Not sure why, this shouldn't make a difference.

Probably because Ford's tune is too conservative.

WMS makes them in both 80mm(factory size and what I have-does not require a retune)and 95mm.
