Cold Air Kit

Hi, I have a stock 2002 GT convertible.It's the 4.6 ,Auto trans.I would like to install the The cold air kit that UPR sells,But their video on installation said to retune the car .Is this critical or can it be installed and just driven.This car is new to us and we are still learning the 4.6..Thank you...Rick

Not sure why it would need one, I have installed several and had friends that did the same with no tuning. Of course even a stock engine can benefit from a tune usually so....I wouldn't worry about it.

Does not require a tune but to receive full benefit of the mod, at least a canned tune would be in order. will it hurt to run without? No.
