MM- Yeah way too much work!!!! If I put any more time and money in this car I wouldn't want to drive it, and thats not what I want in a car. I want to drive it and when i want to, BEAT THE HELL OUT OF IT!!! This isn't a show only car, so it doesn't matter all that much to me.

NICE man......what valve covers are those? sweet!

I am amazed you dont have anything covering your paint.....i know i would scratch it all up.

Also, i noticed that fram filter.....Too bad you have to throw all that money away that you spent on that motor.

GreenMustangGt- I have a set of Summit fender covers, I just took them off for the pics. I got the valve covers off ebay ($129) from SpeedCity Motors. The FRAM is just while the motor was on the stand and putting it in the car. I had it laying around for now, I use Mobil 1 filters and oil in all my vehicles.

yobi1kanobi - Yeah they are 42's, I only run about 6psi of intercooled boost. May not be quite enough for the new set up, we will see, but they will be enough for break in.

Thanks for all the Comps guys! I will post more pics as I go.

wow, looks awesome tom!

I like the idea of making the bottom half black, there's nothin pretty to see down there regardless. Can't wait to see the progress pics as it comes back together...looks like staying home and not goin to carlisle was a good choice for you...if I had that motor ready to go in, I'd say F the show lol.

Thanks Dan, I really wanted to go but I knew once I got there I would be feeling sick see all the cool cars and realizing that my car was at home sitting in a heap of parts. Kinda depressing, so I figured staying home was the right idea.

I see you are using a fram oil filter. I use to till I saw the inside of them. And a friend lost his motor due to one. One thing is that they use cardboard to hold the filters together inside. Motorcraft uses a metal ring and has more filters inside. Just fyi.

My family has used fram for years and have never had a problem. And we don't change every 3000 miles its when we get a chance.

Firstly that car looks damn amazing! I love the paint and how nice the engine bay looks.

Also what do you guys think of K&N oil filters, any good?

K&N filters are great a bit pricey I just put the motorcraft filter in my car it seems to get more oil pressure from it the mobil 1 filters are great too

I use mobil 1 filters on my cars they seem good to me and they are only a couple bucks more.

The reason I ask about the 42s is cuz I am using them on my blown 347 and I get mixed reviews about it
