Okay, I want to make sure I get this right,
My '86 GT did not have a radio when I bought it, and it had what I understand is Premium Sound (amp in middle of dash). One of the previous owners cut the harness at the RADIO end, so I do have both sets of plugs (from the dash harness and from the radio)
So, with the common ground, I tied the + wires from my aftermarket deck into their respective wires on the old radio plugs, then I tied the front speaker grounds to the top ground wire in the harness, and the rear speaker grounds to the bottom ground in the harness.
Will that work or should I just run new speaker wire directly to the deck?
I don't want to try it until I know for sure.
Thanks!
