I dissuaded to go with VT stage II. I did a research and never found anyone to complain about those cams.
Good luck.

You will more than likely need to notch the pistons for the XE278AHs. If you have a built bottom end with notched pistons, then go for it. Otherwise, go for the VT Stage IIs.

Give Tim a call and have him give you a custom grind. They are like 5 bucks more then the Comps and VT cams.

But worth way more HP.

Besides the heads are still on my car.

Can anyone an explanation as to how nitrous cams differ from N/A cams and/or blower cams?

VT II cams are very good for nitrous cars, because of their tight lope (108) I personally have VT stage II NA cams and they are awesome. I have solid motor mounts and the car rocks side to side in every stop light I love it, eventhough some might dislike this.

VT claims that their stage II cams LOVE nitrous.

If I were to go with VT II's I would need the 2400 stall though right?

go with a 2800+ converter

if you install the cams prior to the converter, it really wont be a problem, basically, you wont be taking full advantage of the cams.

So the convertor is to get into the effective powerband quicker right?

What is the effective powerband range for those cams?

VT Stage 2 Camshafts (SOHC)

Hot street cam, needs 3.55+ gears. 2400+ stall. Intake, exhaust, computer and spring upgrade recommended. Agressive idle. RPM range 3000-6500+.

just food for thought...

my car is currently auto.. i ended up getting a complete manual conversion, including a t3650, for less than the price of a decent stall converter..

something to think about.. as manuals are way more fun
