Just wondering if anyone else had an automatic gt with the comp xe270 cams. I have a chance to get a set and was wondering what all i would need to do the swap, and I was wondering what kind of gains would i get from the cams.

Im planning on going with the comp cams XE268H or XE274H. Where is the best place to buy them? And what about VTEngines stage 1 cams?

I've been looking at the new modular cams from Crower. They have some very good numbers and more choices than VT or Comp.

The best stall converter hands down is the Precision Industries 9.5" Triple Disc locking TQ - under the stall speed i can cruise around with no problem, but when i nail it you can actually feel the TQ lock very firmly and go.. it's nice

With the xe270ah you will need tune. You will have to keep the rpms up at stop lights to her from stalling(unless you go get it tuned correctly). I'm planning the for the same cam, I'm repeating the info I'm been told.

5.0 mag did an article this month using NON-pi heads on a 96GT and the middle cam grind the 268. They got 25 hp and 10ft/lb.

With my 2002 with PI heads and the 270 grind,(has more lift and duration), I'm hoping for 30 hp and 15 ft/lb.

cams are $530
spring are $180
