comp intake

what are your plans for the car?

if you are going to run it on the street, that intake will make the car fall on it's face.
if you have a stroker or run a power adder then that intake will kick ass at the strip.

I actually ran this upper on a gt40 lower both on a stock head/cam 302 and on a built 408w.

I liked the intake.

On the stock 302, the car needed more gear to keep in the new power band. I had 3.27's, and would think 3.55 or 3.73 would be ample.
Re-thinking the valve events would be ideal as well...

On the 408w I think this intake would have been choking the motor off, if I wasn't running a smallish head at the time.

I think it's a good intake for a gt40 setup, but the entire car needs to be built together. That means looking at gears, cam, heads, etc.... anytime you change ANY part....
