What would the compression on a stock shortblock with AFR 165 58cc aluminum heads be? Stock is 9:1 with a 62.5 cc iron stock head (not 100% sure). I understand that there are different tolerances that must be measured like how the piston sits in the hole, but an educated guess or an exact one would be nice

My guess is 9.42:1.

Assuming that the entire engine is stock and the only think that you change are the heads.

9.5:1...... give or take a little. I'm not just guessing. I used some numbers I know off the top of my head to replicate a 9:1 engine with 62.5cc heads and then changed the head volume to 58cc and got 9.489:1.

Your's would be only slightly above stock. Trickflow TW heads are 61cc combustion chamber. Stock is between 61-63 for spec (that means anythigninthat range is considered good enough for production).

To be accurate you need to give more info. I need.....

Are you at zero deck height? If not how far above/below are you?
What's the compressed thickness of your gaskets?
Pistons - dish, flat top or dome? What's the cc displacement for the dish, valve reliefe in the flat top or dome volume?
