Hey guys,
just a quick question, I just bought my 2000 mustang v6, and it was owned by and older couple, i put in some new expensive oil....mobile one truck and suv,
5w 40 and thats it for now, i plan on getting some other tune up stuff, its got 42000 on it, dont know if i need it or not since its so new but, ive only run one tank through it so far and got 18mpg, anyweh, my question is my friend told me i should unplug my battery to reset the computer to my driving style, and it will make it run better and possibly stronger because it adapts to your driving, have you ever heard of this???

Isn't 5w40 heavier weight oil than required? My '01 GT used 5w20. If you want the adaptive learning process to start over on your car disconnect the negative terminal from the battery for 30-45 minutes.
