Nothing about mustangs but I know there has to be some computer guys on here that can help me out. My dad needs a new computer so he told me to order him one online. I use to follow electronics and stuff but not so much anymore. My dad told me to order a Dell. I have been looking on the Dell site and thought of starting out with the XPS 410 for $999 and then customizing it. However, I don't really know what I need. The computer is basically just for the basic stuff, no gaming or anything like that. I will use it for music and school work. My parents will use it for photos and internet, etc. I was going to go with the upgraded 2gb dual channel mem, 256mb ati radeon video card. Not sure if i should go 320gb or 500gb hardrive or more. Was also going to go with the 2.4GHz. I just wanted to see if anyone knows about the Dells (especially experience with the xps 410) or if I should consider a different company. My Dad wants it to be in the range of $1500-$2000. Any opinions/help? Sorry its not a mustang question but stangnet always saves the day....lol

Sounds like a loaded computer to me! 2gig of RAM is great, the processor should be a core 2 duo and have a plenty fast clock speed. A 256mb graphics card is also a hefty piece and will support all of your graphics needs. In reality what you have built is a gaming computer = P You could probably skimp in some areas but honestly I'd stick with what you have chosen because it will satisfy for a long time.

And as for Dell? I really like Dell computers, never had a problem with one. I own a loaded Inspiron E1505 and love it, works great for online games, pictures, school work. I have some friends with XPS 410's that use them for gaming etc. You won't be diasappointed with that setup.

Sounds good kid Youll want a big hard drive because downloading photos takes up alot of room. Go for the 500Gig.
