I have an '88 LX 5.0 that just recently I have been seeing a condensation build on the inside of my headlights. Does anybody know the most effective way to eliminate this problem? Do I have to get a new headlight altogether?
depending on who made the lenses.. you can either clean the small hole at the bottom of the lens or drill a small hole at the bottom of the lens to let the moisture escape
its easyer to get a new headlight assembly, but get the ones with the new rubber gasket to keep water out, sometimes they work so far added protectoin use clear silicone under the gasket. thats what i did and no more condensation.

why buy new headlights if you can just drill a small hole , and if you want to seal your headlights put a thin coat of silicon around the edge except where the new hole is drilled.
I just got this problem after taking my HID's out and put in the stockers.....looked around and found the bulb where the red o-ring is wasn't seated all the way in the housing......besides that never ever had a condensation problem
drill a small hole at the top and the bottom to let the condensation escape abd make sure to wax the lights when u wax the car to help keep them from turning yellow
Best idea: Remove the headlight assemblies and then apply a thin coat of clear RTV around the seam between the front lens and the reflector. Then heat them with a hairdryer to remove the moisture. The hot moisture will react with the RTV, making it cure faster.
