Confused about lowering my car

the Isolators are not a must as long as you stock ones are still good. I bought them because I did not know what shape the stock ones were in. the ended up being fine. I had 38k on the clock.

as far as the shocks&stuts are concerned that is why I ended up buying bilstien is I kept getting info but nothing I considered concrete. with cc plates and bilstiens there is only one possible combo. the CC plates alow you to adust you strut position to account for the lowering of the car. the bilstiens have internal stops so they just go right in. you measure you old strut distance from the hood. spacer the new stuts up the amount lowered and you are done. I got the bilstiens of ebay for $480 so if it came down to the illumina's I would go bilstien. I think the premiums will work you will just have to figure out if the fox body ones are the way to go or not.

I looked at the kyb agx series a bit. they are ajustable and not from the top. pain in the ass in the rear since you have to rmove you side panels to ajust if they ajust from the top.

I know there are lots of people running the mach 1 shocks and stuts. do some searches.

Great chioce EightEight H&R SS's are good quality springs.
If you don't know what shape your poly spring isolators
are in I would just buy a new set of isolators with your
new H&R SS's.I also would consider Chamber Caster plates
because H&R SS's will drop your stang probaly 1.75" so
I would get Maximum Motorsports or Steeda C.C. plates
if I were you to get proper alignment and so,you don't get
uneven wear on your struts,shocks,or tires!Also after about
two weeks when your H&R SS springs settle get a all
wheel alignment and you should be fine then!
If you don't replace your stock struts and shocks when
replacing the stock springs for H&R SS's they will wear out
quick. Tokico or Bilstien are both good quality struts and
shocks so, you can't go wrong with either one.

I had to get C/C plates and decided on Maximum Motorsports. From what I read from researching Bilstein Struts and shocks is that they are "valved" in such a way that keeping them slightly compressed with lowering springs won't affect their performance. Plus with the MM C/C plates you can adjust the strut shaft height so that it compensates a little for the compression. I'm not so sure that Tokico are the same way so you may need to get the Fox version or simply call Tokico and ask for their advice (recommended).

i just got Pro3i C/C plate today. They look pretty good and solid to me. very chap it was($160 or so)

I've got the tokico premiums and so far I like them. I don't howerver like this little clunking noise I'm getting from my CC plates. Heres a link to my car. You cand see it before the springs shocks and struts and after. I went with the Eibach prokit springs for a 1.5 drop. very ever day drivable.
