Okay whats the difference in these three connecting rods?


1996-2001 Cobra Floating Pin Rod (Rated 7800 rpm by Ford Engineering)
1996+ 4.6L Windsor Floating Pin Rod
2005+ 3V Floating Pin Rod

I know they are all powdered metal.

They are made using powder metallurgy and they are commonly referred to as junk, or the weak link in our engines when used with nitrous, blowers or turbos. I consider them a great rod for street, n/a applications, but they suck when you start slapping unnatural power to them. They actually are strong when you take the weight and mass into consideration. They employ full floating pins unlike the last 4.6's.

All the below are powdered metal.

1996+ 4.6L Windsor Floating Pin
2005+ 3V Floating Pin

Are these the same? If not does anyone now the ratings on the others.
