Thanks for the reply. This my first full tear apart fox project. I did the engine and tremec and rearend in my black car...............................just never torn apart a fox interior before. I did a foolish thing and bought a car off ebay and it's not quiet as advertised. The interior is gross and disguting. Going to replace the carpet, fix the ashtray lid, headliner, you know all the things that get neglected by people. I would say its not very harsh but very true. Taking the console out is a very basic procedure its not like he was asking how to do a heater core in the thing. To the op just take your time and look things over and you will see these are very easy cars to work on if you are even just a little mechanically inclined. Good luck with your interior resto. I did the same in my 87 complete redo and Late model restoration will have just about everything you will need. Hard to beat a complete carpet kit for around 300 bucks.
