Contemplating 5.4 swap: K-mem Q's

I know there are a ton of issues related to a 5.4 swap but the one I'm most curious about: this fall I'll likely swap in a tubular K member. I don't want one that's just for drag racing--I want good cornering, too. Two questions:

1. Which tubular K?
2. Will it support a 5.4 swap?

I realize the FIT will work, but what about the weight?
