I noticed that the ones that came with the Energy suspension kit have them in steel sleeves. Do these need to be pressed in place?

As I am about 45% done the the bushing change out to Poly in the rear of the vert, I have jsut 2 more control arms to do then jsut button it up.

So am I going to need any specialty tools to do the front control arm bushings?

IF all goes well I will start working on the frontend tomorrow but more realisticaly I will start it on Tuesday when I have more time to work on the car.

Thanks,
Chris

SOme bushings come with shells, some don't. The big thing is to SUPPORT the control arm while pounding or pushing them out/in. The arm is flimsy, so if you just start pushing/pounding the sheet metal will start to bend instead of the focker comming out. Imagine it just like the rears - if you were to remove/install the steel sleeves in the flimsy REAR control arms, they would have bent/twisted into pretzal.

You can mangle the old sleeves all you want, since you won't need them. SO get them out however you want.
