I have an 89 rag top an there is about a 1/3 inch gap between the top of the glass of the window and the quater window on my driverside door. Does anybody know how to fix this, it's ptetty annoying and with winter coming up will be a big problem. Thanks for the help

You may need to adjust the window itself. If the 1/4 window and front window don't mesh with the top down then the 1/4 window probably needs to be adjusted, which can be a PITA.

Agreed my 87 has the gap problem along with the fact the power lifter gears are striped. The window has either come out of its track or it needs to be helped a little as the mechanism does get slightly tweaked with age. IMHO the design is a little faulty as far as making a good seal. Such a small window with a big problem.

Mustangs Unlimited sells a manual that shows detailed illustrations on door glass adjustment for fitment issues. How to adjust door glass up, down, frontward, rearward, inwards, outwards, etc. Pretty dang useful and very accurate. Worked for me on my wife's T-Top door glass. Here's the link:

I havent been around many verts but when doors have problems aligning on other stangs its usually the door pins or the striker latch. Open your door and grab it and see if there is any up and down play in it. That'll tell you if its ur door hinge pins.
