Convertible Drivers Rear Window Stuck Sorta

Hey everyone,

All the windows worked this morning when I put the top down, but when I was leaving work for some reason the drivers side rear little window only went down about 1-1/2" and then stopped.

It seems like it is getting caught up on something. I tried the door slamming trick, but that didn't do anything.

Any ideas?

Check the Rubber Piece that is in the door jam. It has 1 rivet and 3 push pins. The rubber piece has a very mailable piece of metal inside it and it can very easily get bent and snag the window.

I had to replace that piece on my passenger side last year and need to replace it again.

Thanks I actually figured it out last night and you are correct. It is that rubber peice in the jamb. What an interesting design huh?

Yup, very interesting for a $2 piece of rubber and metal to cost $25 for replacement.

Did you just drill out the old rivet?

Yup. Drilled out the Old Rivet, put the new piece on with the push pins, then popped in a New rivet.

I have only found them from Ford when I replaced two on mine.
