I hear something about a convertible harness underneath the console... I havent pulled the console to take a look for it... nor do I really know how... but I am going to be wiring up a fan switch here very soon and need a switched ignition source... this would work out VERY well.

I guess what I am asking is... is there one????

the fog light switch, or conv top switch plugs are in the center consol... so yea, pull the consol and youll clearly see them. Of coarse you can just pry either switch out by getting a tiny flate balde under the ends and pulling up.. They have metal tabs that hold them in ( one on each end) once removed disconect the plug, and tap your wiring into the plug.

The way that i did it, way back when was..

Simply tapped a Key On Engine Off wire right off of the CCRM, Think it was #17, though im not sure, anyhow, its the green/black wire that controls the highspeed fan. I tapped into this wire then ran it straight to a 12v source, with a switch inline, to turn the highspeed fan off and on. This worked great. Probably could have used a relay in between, but for the year or two i had it working, i never had one problem with it constantly running.
Helped bring my temps way down, into the O range in NORMAL..

Yeah, all the switches in my 02 where in front of the shifter, I bought fog light swith for a 94-99 to put in the change slot, when I pulled the console out it still had the plug for the fog lights and the convertable top, guess ford didn't want to make different wiring for the newer cars

Im using relays and grounding pin 17 for the high speed....

I was going to use the same method for pin 14 but apparantly low speed has to have power supplied to it... so I need another wire. So for right now the fan will be on high until I wire up the switch and interior.

At least it wont get hot.
