Hello.
Great forum. Learned a lot already.
Have 1986 mustang convertible and I'm attempting to rebuild the mechanics on the top to raise and lower. Now, nothing, but the motor makes noise, so I have just replaced the hoses and have purchased new cylinders. But, there are no bolts on either side of the car for the top push rod to thread through. Just missing. What can I use? It does look like threads on one side of the hole, so I could use a smooth bolt with threads at the end? (cylinder has a nylon bushing on the rod.)
Is there a specific bolt for this? or should I make one....
Thanks for any help.
