Convertible outter painted windsheild trim: How do they come off?

Anyone out there ever seen a 'vert windsheid being removed or have needed to remove the outter trim around it? The passenger side of my 96' trim is starting to come loose at the top and I need to know how it's exactly attached so I dont break it. It sort of looks like it clips in but I prefer not to force it without knowing for sure.

There was a thread a while back on this. I'm 90% sure you have to remove the windshield.

That would suck if thats the case, however, it looks like you have to remove the trim before the windshield. When I get back to work next week (been out on sick leave for a month) I'm gonna ask my glass vendor to ask around the auto glass division and see if they know.
