Convertible question please!

Hey guys my girl has a 90 vert and her top is crappy it doesnt latch right and she has no back glass, well i just found someone parting out a vert for cheap. My question is hers is a 90 vert 5.0 gt and this ones on a 4.6 87 vert lx. the top is new he said, and will let the whole thing go for 100$ which is cheaper than a back glass. my question is will this fit, and how hard is it to take off/put new one on. i just dont want to drop 100 dollars if its not gona work! thanks in advance!

Not too sure how hard it is to replace. I think all convertible tops were the same until 91-93...but you may want to get someone else in here to double check my info.

After looking into doing the top myself, I just picked my car up from the upholstry shop with it's new top. From what I found out, it's a real pain in the ass to do the top. Not cheap to get a new one tho.

so they swapped a 4.6 into it?

an 87 and a 90 will swap. should be a simple bolt and go. the problem lies in that some of the bolts that hold the frame in are nigh impossible to reach with the fabric on. good luck and let us know how it goes.
