Oregon.
anyone rig something up to defrost the rear window? I have seen some electric heater fans that I am contemplating mounting on the rear window during the winter.

On a hatchback I have, the PO broke the defroster and tinted over it. I don't have freezing issues but rather condensation issues when it rains. I mounted a CPU style cooling fan in the upper right rear corner of the back window. It's powered via the defroster power terminals (so I can turn it on and off) and it does decently with clearing my back window.

Up in Oregon though, that probably won't help you. A heater fan like you noted is probably the best bet - just be careful of heat around the fabric.

Good luck.

I used some rain X anti fog. But there is to much moisture in the air for it to work 100%.
Add the fact that my windows do not align very well, and I have roof that is made of cloth...

I would only run it until the window was clear. its a pain in the morning to back up without being able to see where I am going.

I feel you brotha'. I cant see anything when i back out of my driveway...so i have to use my superhuman skills to manouver the car perfectly.

It also doesnt help when i leave the windows down during the night.

I found some electric heater fans in walmart that run off of 12 volts.

I am contemplating using velcro and mounting it to the rear window. It would probably work in the winter, since the top would not be going down. I might go pick one up friday when I get off of work.

they are only $12.
