Convertible Rear Glass Liner Lifting

Whats up fellas,
I just noticed that the rear glass of my drop top right where the glass sticks to the surface on both sides of the vinil top has a gap, and water is getting in. what is the best way to fix this? I have tried hot glue sticks and nothing.

try some weather stripping adhesive..

it's pretty common to have that happen

I used some Goop stuff that i found at advanced. worked well.

I also used some RTV gasket maker, it was ok, but kind of messy.

you really will never get it resealed get new skirt and window and put it in its not that hard

ok, a "new skirt and window" I havew a Glass not a plastic window, can I resue the glass and just get the skirt? andif so where do I get the skirt from?

when i replaced my top like 3 months ago i was told you cant reuse the window
it comes with skirt sealed from factory
i was mad also
so i did it new black top new skirt and new rear window
all installed for 700
which was better than most quotes of 1000
unless every top place lied to me to get me to buy new window they all said i couldnt reuse the window.

it sucks, but you cant reuse the old window..

Ok Ok, now I have seen 2 diff material for the convertible tops, mine is like a plastic vinil type, but I have seen the velvet like cloth on some mustang tops. where do I get those? or are thry not available for my car?

Sorry haven't been on too much. Fixed problem. Took rear curtain off over a month ago , used silicone sealant weights to keep the stuff held together and presto. exelent!
