Hey guys,
My top was in DESPARATE need of replacement, and after reading all the 'don't do it yourself, take it to a shop' threads, I chickened out and just got a whole top, frame, glass, cylinders, and all, from a yard from a 93 Stang for $200- headliner and all- so, I swapped it out, bled the hydraulic system, and it goes up/down OK, but now when it closes, it is off at the front where the header seal is by about 2" to the right. It's like I put the top on crooked- I tried adjusting positively all bolts I could find, but cannot make any bit of difference at the front of the frame. If i force it, it will close, but then the header seal doesn't seal- I can see light through it- So, all in all, it's got tons of adjustments that I need to do to get my car drivable again, and I need serious help. I read that light adjustment and troubleshooting page already, but could not find where the allen screws were to adjust length, etc. Think that may be the problem. So anyways, where else can I adjust it for length, etc? Of course, the Hayne's is next to worthless for this, as it is for a lot of projects like this.
I worked on this for like 3 hours yesterday, and it still does not work! GRR I'm getting real frustrated. Also, my driver side window does not line up with the rear quarter glass- there's like a 1/2" gap between them now. It's almost like the window is sticking out away from the car too far- GRRR PLEASE HELP!!
