convertible top rattle

I'm new to the site and would like any help possible. I have a 2004 GT convertible and I get a loud rattle from the top latch area when I hit a bump in the road. It is driving me crazy and top down time is running out. Thanks

Is the top loose at all? Verts make a lot of noise anyways due to the lack of regidity, but did it just start?

I agree, my vert is not quiet, even with all the suspension upgrades. Not that I have done it, but the latches actually have an adjustment to make the top close more solid (make sense?) If you look good at the inside of the latches you will see... Mine is rattling some from the molding above the rearview mirror...sure thats not the issue?

I just bought the car about 3 weeks ago. It has done it since I've owned it. I adjusted the threaded hook that latches the top down, but no better. The top fits nice and tight.

Check the molding strip along the top of the windshield (inside). Mine was a bit loose when I first got it and it made alot of noise. It's started again a bit now that it's much cooler. Have to check it and see how I can better fix it.
