Has anyone replaced the top on their vert? I need to replace mine and was wondering what I'm going to get myself into by doing so. Also, any material better then another? I was surfing around for information, but can't find any. I heard that the later tops are better then the earlier ones, but I don't know what they are made of. Any information or experience in this area would be greatly appreciated...

If the top is faded but not torn then why not just dye it? There is a company in the United Kingdom that makes cloth top dye that works really well for $40.......If it is torn then take it somewhere and have it done. The $$ will be well spent.

Sal!

Are you really moving out to Ohio? That's what I read. Go out and look and feel a 04 Cobra vert top. Man that cloth is nice. More money but worth every penny if you ask me. Especially since you own a authentic car.

Yea Marcus, I'm heading back to Ohio. I mayhave stayed out West if I had won something at the Saleen show last year, but some butthole took virtually everything (j/k)! Naw, actually, I have a 12 year old back there. I love the weather here, but I don't want to miss her teenage years. Those are the hardest you know! Besides, I like the seasons and the green.

I'll have to look at that cloth top. It is about twice as much though. I can get the factory top, with glass window installed and done for about $550. I'll have to take a look though...

Well,
I'm glad you are going to be a stand up Dad. She will have you wrapped around her finger quick. Anyway, she will be dating soon and someone needs to stand guard at the front door with the gun. I was born here anyway so I don't know anything about seasons.
Go ahead and spend the money on the nice top. " If you are going to be rare and slow, you might as well have a nice roof." My quote.
Hey, I gave the microwave away to that single mom anyway. I don't mind being a butthole as long as I'm a butthole with 500 RWHP.

Make room in Ohio! Sal is comin. You can still drive out to the show next year. It'll just take an extra day. Unless of course you purchase a blower first
I'll even buy you some raffle tickets myself.

take care,
