does anyone know the difference between the frames of a manual and power top? I currently have a manual top in my '65, and i'd like to convert to a power top, but i'm not sure if that would mean getting a new frame or not. If the power top frame is different, is there a way to modify the manual top to work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The power top components will bolt on to the frame you have. You will need to remove the down position hold down latches in the quarters and install the hydraulics, motor, and wiring. It is a very simple bolt in that can be done in just a few hours.

Yep, I've done it before with no issues. Basically remove the spring cartriages and replace them with the hydraulic cylinders. Add pump and hoses, run wires. All parts just bolt on.

awesome, i'll have to start looking around for parts, thanks guys! having to walk all the way around the car to unlock the top was getting rather old, especially if i was in a hurry.
