Alright here is the situation i have a 96 mustang gt 5spd with 95xxx miles on it i am leaking coolant form the upper front left cent area of my engine i really do not think that it is a head gasket due to there is no moisture down in that area but when you look at the motor there is coolant sitting it the front left injector socket around the left coolant temperature sensor and you can see where it is either melting or eating the paint of my strut tower brace in the front. so any ideas thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated thanks

If it's still got the original plastic crossover intake than it's probably cracked, time for a PI swap. To tell for sure, start car and let it warm up, then give it some gas, you should see the coolant spraying out.

If it's on the injector and strut tower brace it's got to be spraying from somewhere. If it was the gasket you'd see it all around the spark plug holes also, either that or in the valley.

When mine went I noticed because it started misfiring, when I checked it out there was fluid all around the spark plugs and in the valley and when I ran it up to around 5k rpm you could see it spraying out. Mine was a big crack though.

Very rarely would you have a gasket leak. My bet is the intake is cracked. It's not a hard swap.

Probably wont spray out, when my 99 had a cracked intake it was just a tiny
drop that would slowly come out of a tiny crack. Mine was on the right side near the T stat.

This is one of the oldest problems in the sn-95 Mustang book. It's the intake. Get a new NPI one with the aluminum crossover or make the switch to a PI one with the aluminum crossover... :SNSign:

+1 on gdawg. i actually think that its the only problem with these motors, cause you can rip the s**t out of them and theyll last a long time, only as long as you maintane them. mine has 190,000 on the clock, and with basic bolt ons it runs 8.90s to 9 flats in the 1/8

holy hell 500 dollars. dude you can get a pi replacement for 250 from autozone, then 100 for the addaptors. just go back stock with the aluminum crossover also from autozone 250 and it has everything, gaskets, t-stat, alternator bracket, bolts and everything

The Livernois kit shaves the intake down so it fits under the hood. The plates raise the intake about a 1/4 inch so you may have hood clearance issues if you buy the plates and a standard intake.

A lot of people have had good results with the PI intake and RTVing the water ports to prevent leaks. Search for PI intake swap for instructions or check the top of this section for links.
