Coolant leak

I have coolant seeping from the joint between the water pump and the timing cover, at the long bolt, furthest to the right, looking at the engine from the front.
Can I simply remove the bolt and use some thread sealer? It does not really pose a problem other than the occaisonal need to soak up the coolant every few days...

If its comming from just around the bolt, removing it and resealing the bolt may work, may not.
