I have to travel to texas for a family emergancy. Last night my coolant light came on then after 3 restarts (stopping places) it didnt come back on. Also I just had my car flushed at a shop. What could it be?

No leaks I could see! Please help!

Have you checked your coolant level to make sure you're running full ? Sometimes when you fill the radiator up with a coolant/water mixture, it will look full. However, once you run the car a few times, the coolant and water will fully mix and there will be less in there than you think. Its possible this is why you got the coolant light, because you're not running enough coolant fluid. It could also be your thermostat has failed. Does the car run unusually hot on the temperature guage ?

Just fill it again and again (when cool), they didn't put enough fluid in...it is a SEALED sytem. Most likely there is nothing wrong, trust me...alot of people do this and think that there is something wrong...it's just not correctly serviced. Questions, PM me...If it does show full in the overflow, there may be air in the system caused by incorrect service...

This might not be the case but there reason mine wont go off is because the floating sensor has floated to the bottom and even thought its full the light will continually stay on.

yeh it's float sensor I just took the float out of the tank. Or you can buy a new tank from ford!

I just unplugged the sensor. POS tank costs 75 bucks from ford. They won't sell just the sensor, you have to get the whole tank. Bastids.
